Congratulations. You've landed in Alternative Californias, an on-line resource for the amazing Castle Falkenstein©, a role-playing game set in an alternate 19th Century where magick exists, mad scientists run rampant, and where iron men are iron men. As you can probably guess from the title, Alternative Californias deals with the Bear Flag Empire of Castle Falkenstein©.

Well, actually it deals with our Bear Flag Empire. Though we think that R. Talsorian© did a great job in describing North America and California we felt that there was more to be said on the subject, and even a few things that could be a little different. So in the course of our games we created Our Own Private California and felt that other people might want to see it too.

We've got a timeline of California history showing major events, details on the Imperial government, military, trade, and foreign relations. We've even got a section for non-player characters, scenarios and calendars from 1875 to 1893. All to help you out in running your Castle Falkenstein campaigns. Aren't we just swell?

Hey, we even decided to add our own Character Sheet in Word for Windows 6.0 format! It only covers the basics from the rulebook, not any of the supplements (i.e. no gunslinging), but there are places to add more skills. Have fun with it.

And, yes this page is still "Under Construction" (like there's a web page that isn't). We're still adding a lot of things and if there's anything you would like to see up here pertaining to Falkenstein, drop us a line. We'd like to know what you think.
