Chinese forces consist primarily of two divisions of the People's Liberation Army from Jilin province on the Chinese-Korean border.

Goals in North Korea

China has entered North Korea ostensibly to aid in UN security forces, but in reality, plans to keep Western forces in check. China considers a pro-West democracy on its borders as much of a threat to security as a rogue North Korean state and would rather install its own puppet Communist government in place of the DPRK. In addition to maintaining a buffer between itself and American troops, controlling North Korea gives China access to a key source of uranium.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The Chinese Army has the subtlety of a sledge hammer--it uses large numbers and brute force to overpower its enemies.

• The Chinese favor tanks and mechanized infantry. Their armored vehicles are superior to all other factions' except the UN.
• The Chinese are weak in the air. Only one support item is delivered by aircraft, and they lack a true attack helicopter.
• Chinese support options are high-damage, large area of effect.

Faction Headquarters

Leader

Nearly the polar opposite of the Mafia FL, the Chinese FL is utterly cold and professional. China does not want an American puppet on its borders, but they're not willing to start a war with the Coalition over Korea. They want to make sure the new government is one that they approve of. The Chinese FL is a seasoned espionage agent and a high ranking military official; he appears to be in his mid-50s. He is a stolid party member but he also recognizes the weaknesses of his own government. He speaks crisp English with no real accent—it’s his job to come from nowhere. He views the player as he does any foreign agent--useful if controlled, but not to be trusted.
