The Living Geometries
These images were captured at construction site F89, near the Tharsis bulge. The worksite had just been completed, after a lengthy scientific analysis determined which areas would be safe.
At the time of these images, Cpt. Sam Heyd and Dr. Chris Porter were at the site. The walkthrough, performed by Dr. Porter, doubled as an introduction to workers and another opportunity to gather data. Cpt. Heyd, at the time of the images, kept in touch via radio while otherwise occupied setting up equipment. Two months later more personnel arrived and reconstruction work began.
